Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West

LRTaliesin Entrance Sign

While in the Phoenix area, we toured Taliesin West, where Frank Lloyd Wright had one of the two schools he ran for apprentice architects. It’s still in operation to this day so if you fancy a career in architecture you should check it out.

The tour explores the grounds of Taliesin West and then takes visitors into the living quarters, showing a more private side of Frank Lloyd Wright. The tour lasted 90 minutes, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Photos weren’t allowed inside, but we were allowed to sit in some of the furniture while she talked about the Wrights, Taliesin West, and the architecture school.
